RIAJ issues

Well, well, well...

Seems like my recently-not-very-updated blog is having more and more excuses to be a little bit dead. Nevermind my lazyness and lack of Ringo news, this time RIAJ decided to act against my Mediafire uploads and all of them have been suspended. Which means that with Megaupload and Mediafire kind of useless now, I'm not sure where to turn to. Rapidshare is not really a solution, since it has become so crappy for downloads, and all the other websites were never really an option (and aren't still).

So I guess I'll have to think about some kind of solution. Maybe share this stuff over some tracker?

I'll let you guys know once I figure it out.

Bootleg Updated

Just wanted to let you know I've updated the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '04 bootleg, which now contains the whole show. Listen to the audience recording of the complete 15 songs setlist here.

Some news

Hello there everyone.

I don't have much free time in my hands, so let's just skip to the point.

Tokyo Jihen are back with band activities and they spared no efforts into compensating for making us wait so long. The first news we know, released by Kronekodow, are that the postponed single for "Sora ga Natteiru" is going to be released May 11. The second news is that the band is going on another national-wide tour this year. Not much is known besides that, but you bet it screams New Album too.

Other than that, I want you all to notice the new addition in the left-side column: "Songs and Lives". Just check it out, I think it's going to be useful. Thank Yahiko (besides me), for this community effort.

1st Anniversary

One year ago from this day, I created this blog. Its purpose was to give access to the non-official and often rare files that most fans have a hard time finding. Its purpose was to compile everything, to organize what was usually scattered in a sea of obscurity and give it a place to be found. Its purpose was to take no credit, but to share.

More importantly, its fundamental purpose was to help the Shiina Ringo fan.

I think that purpose is being met with every post I make and it pleases me to know that excluding one small incident with one angry fan, my methods have made this year go by peacefully. My hope is that I can continue to help the Ringo community, especially the non-japanese fans like me.

Remember that no file is locked to this blog: share it wherever and with whoever you want :)

PS - I was hoping to have something nice to upload today, alas my time has been very short. School ends July 2nd and the weeks have been a very turbulent stream of assignment deadlines!

1TB Problems

I'm not sure if I should or shouldn't post this here, because it could be pointless, but today an accident just happened and my 1TB external hard-drive fell on the ground and now it's not working. And I just had pretty much all my Ringo/Jihen bootleg collection there. I'm going to try to fix it, but it's probably going to take some time (hopefully no more than 2 weeks), so I won't be able to make any uploads until then.

Sorry to everyone who was expecting some more life from this blog since the two last posts.

Make Your Requests

Woah, it has been a LONG time since I last posted here. Largely due to my lack of time, but also because there hasn't been much activity from Ringo or the band. I also feel like I already posted the most important files I wanted to share with you guys. But I do want to keep this blog alive and useful, that's why my idea is to have you request any file you want, as long as it doesn't break the rules (no official releases, etc), and I'll try to upload it if I have it in my collection. Of course I can't promise I'll upload it right away, so you'll have to wait a bit.

And that's it. I want to keep this pretty simple. Just reply to this post with your request and I'll see what I can do. Cheers!

Small update on NHK SONGS audio

I was listening to the NHK SONGS audio rips for the first time in a couple of months, and finally decided it was time to redo them. The thing is, the volume is too low because I didn't adjust the levels like I should, so everytime the songs come up I need to raise the volume manually. Which is annoying, of course.
There are ways to fix this, for example with Foobar's Audio Gain or with iTunes Volume Adjustment, but I guess it's easier if the files already have the gain applied. Which is what I did.
So I updated the correspondent posts with the new links, while keeping the old ones as well, in case someone wants them.

Sadistic Gossip Master List

I'm compiling a list of all Shiina Ringo related media that I know of. I've placed a link for it on the sidebar, so that way everyone can keep updated on what's going to be released and also what has already been released. I'm aware that it's going to be a huge list because this girl really knows how to please her fans (or does she...!), but I'm in no rush to complete it. My main concern is the future releases and in the free time I'll keep "updating" with old stuff.

Besides being extremely useful for myself, I hope the list is also useful to you!
